About Professor Esther Duflo
Esther Duflo is a Nobel Prize–winning economist and Professor at MIT, where she co-founded the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL). Her work focuses on understanding and improving the lives of people in poverty through evidence-based policy in areas like health, education, and financial inclusion.

She is the co-author of "Poor Economics and Good Economics for Hard Times," and has received numerous honors including the MacArthur “Genius Grant” and the John Bates Clark Medal.
